Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center and Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation graduates 22 individuals
Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center and Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation will be presenting National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum Blue Cards and OSHA 10-hour safety cards to 22 individuals in a private graduation ceremony. Prior to the graduation ceremony, 7 – 10 potential employers will be onsite to interview, pre-screen, and possibly hire students in an exclusive job fair for the graduation class.
The NCCER Core Curriculum Blue Cards acknowledges specialized training that covers basic safety, communication skills, and an introduction to construction drawings. It also gives the student needed skills that allows them to continue their education in other construction specialties should they choose to do so.
OSHA 10-hour safety training classes are specifically designed for workers to learn about hazard avoidance, workers’ rights, and filing an OSHA complaint. (https://www.oshaeducationcenter.com/osha-10-hour-training/)
The graduation ceremony will include speakers from Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation and Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center. Reporters will have the opportunity to talk with students who have recently completed the class, as well as representatives from Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center’s Employment Services Team. Each year, Mary Rigg connects over 200 adults with training, educational, and employment services.
